DIY
Difficulty: Medium
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Cernit Polymer Clay – CE0880056640C, CE0870056085C, CE0900056620C, and CE0900056212C
- A metal roller CE902C, a rigid blade CE908C
- Piece of gold leaf and metal clip
- A cookie cutter of your choice
- Earring hooks
Now, here are the steps:
- 1 / Start by preheating your oven to 120 degrees Celsius, convection heat
- 2 / Take small amounts of Cernit polymer clay in the color of your choice and knead it lightly, adding small pieces of gold leaf.
- 3 / Once it’s pliable, use the roller to flatten the clay on a smooth surface until it reaches the desired thickness, around 3mm.
- 4 / Place your clay sheet on parchment paper, use the cookie cutter to cut the clay into the desired shape, and create holes (for the earring hooks).
- 5/ Remove the cookie cutters and then the pieces of clay that you don’t want. Caution! Do not move the shapes that you will be using.
- 6/ Transfer the shapes with their parchment paper onto the baking sheet and bake them for 30 minutes at 120 degrees Celsius (convection heat).
- 7/ Once the shapes are baked and cooled, slide them onto the earring hooks.
And there you have it!
