-
What happens if the baking temperature exceeds 130°C (266°F)?
It is very likely that the clay will burn. If this happens, we advise you to turn off the oven, open windows and doors, and leave the room until the smell has dissipated. Then clean the oven thoroughly.
-
Cernit clay is very hard to work with. Is this normal?
No. To soften and make it more pliable, we recommend adding a few drops of Magic Mix and kneading it well again.

Between 110 and 130°C (230 – 266°F).

Can Cernit clay be baked multiple times?

-
A piece of my creation broke once it was out of the oven. Why?
The baking temperature was likely below the recommended minimum temperature.
-
Cernit clay is very soft before baking, making it difficult to work with. Why is this and how can it be remedied?
There are two possibilities:
- Because it’s very hot in the room. Solution: if possible, work in a cooler place with air conditioning or a fan.
- Because the clay is very fresh (recently made). Solution: excess plasticizer can be eliminated by letting the clay rest between two sheets of paper.
-
Are polymer clays vegan?
Absolutely! They are all vegan.
